Decatur County Community Schools desired to develop a New Cyber Security Center to train students in the growing computer programming and cyber security field. The project includes renovating an existing wood shop no longer being utilized by the School Corporation in the North Decatur Jr-Sr High School into a new flexible computer lab, classroom, green screen production studio, highly visible server room and break-out collaboration spaces. The cyber security program intends to include certifications and training to perform security tests on data processing systems and adding new software to security files. The flooring pattern mimics computer binary coding patterns. The furniture and equipment provides flexibiliity and adaptability to various lesson plans and instructional methods.
