PROJECT DETAILS:

The Brown County High School Science Lab Renovation Project provided fresh, cutting-edge technology and inspiring teaching environments to the science department. LANCER + BEEBE designed the Science Labs to incorporate separate wet lab areas and lecture spaces within each classroom, complete with custom- designed furniture and all the latest technology. A shared storage/prep area space was developed at the center of the science labs with convenient access directly from the corridor. An adjacent under-utilized greenhouse was redeveloped as a common teacher office space separate from the classrooms so as to foster a collaborative, innovative culture among the faculty. By having separate teacher office spaces, each individual classroom can also become ‘dedicated’ by the teachers, who are able to schedule and share classrooms based on the subject they are teaching and the unique characteristics of each room.
